The best time to visit Uganda is from June to August and December to February, which are the Dry seasons. Wildlife viewing is at its peak then. Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Breakfast for day one will be provided at the hotel or your place of residence, followed by a meet, and greet and briefing on the 3 days of the Queen Elizabeth Tour by our driver. There will be a number of stopovers including at the Uganda Equator along Masaka road. Here you will be able to stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres and also experiment with how water swirls in different directions when placed in the northern and southern hemispheres. Take photos and even buy some of the beautiful souvenirs. Head straight to the lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Start the day with early game drives that expose us to diverse animals including the Big Five—elephants, buffaloes, big cats- lions, leopards, and rhinos. More times in the evening, warthogs, and hunchback carnivals like hyenas are spotted along the circuits as we drive along, and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich birdlife especially our version of storks in the wetland spots as we reach the flamingoes in the salt lakes at Kasenyi.
Enjoy a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel, a 36km channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. Here you’ll see land and water-adapted hippos yawning, the National Geographical Society killing machine, the Nile crocodile, gaping along the banks, and the savannah version of pigs, the warthog-Pumba are a hallmark sign in this animal home. With your binoculars along the peninsula, you’ll have a magnificent view of birds and animals like the ever-playing African elephants in the water.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing, enjoying the stunning views of the falls, and preparing for the excitement ahead.
Day 2: Exploring Sipi Falls and Coffee, Community Encounter
Start the day with a guided walk to the stunning Sipi Falls, a series of three waterfalls cascading down the mountain. The hike takes you through lush vegetation, offering breathtaking views of the falls and surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, enjoy a Sipi Arabica Coffee Tour, where you’ll learn about the region’s renowned coffee production and sample some of the finest brews.
Day 3: Travel to Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve
Drive to Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, a lesser-known gem in northern Uganda—a rustic retreat amidst stunning scenery. Embark on a walking safari and game drive, where you can spot unique wildlife such as roan antelopes, cheetahs, and leopards. Take the breathtaking views of rolling hills, grasslands, and rocky outcrops.
Day 4: Cultural Immersion in Moroto (Karamojong)
Transfer to Moroto and immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to a Karamojong homestead. Spend the evening with nomadic cattle keepers and learn about their traditional way of life, gaining insight into the Karamojong’s unique customs, traditions, and livelihoods.
Day 5: Exploring the East African Rift Escarpment
Visit a traditional cattle auction or village market to witness the vibrant local culture. Then, drive to the East African Rift Escarpment and engage in a cultural experience with the Ik community, learning about their ancient traditions and way of life.
Day 6: Climbing Mount Morungole
Embark on an exhilarating climb up Mount Morungole, taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The hike takes you through lush vegetation, providing stunning vistas of the hills and valleys. Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park and check in at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.
Day 7: Wildlife Encounters in Kidepo Valley National Park
Join a morning game drive and an afternoon nature walk, where you can spot a wide array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, elands, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and various bird species. Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s most stunning national parks. Check-in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing while enjoying breathtaking views of the Nile River.
Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park – Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise to the top Falls
Experience a morning game drive, followed by an afternoon boat ride, where you can spot wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Marvel at the breathtaking views of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River thunders through a narrow gorge.
Day 10: Chimp Tracking and Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctaury
Embark on a chimpanzee tracking adventure to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Afterward, they transfer to Ziwa Rhino Ranch, home to southern white rhinos. Check-in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing while enjoying the surrounding landscape.
Day 11: Rhino Tracking and Return to Kampala
Engage in a guided rhino-tracking adventure to spot these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Finally, return to Kampala, marking the end of your Northern Uganda adventure. Reflect on the incredible experiences and breathtaking scenery you encountered during your journey, as the memories will linger long after your return home.
