During this three-day gorilla trek safari, you will travel to Uganda’s famous jungle of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is located in the southwestern part of the country. The forest is known to protect half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas; thus, it’s a remarkable destination for trekking these amazing. There are also some other activities, inclusive of which you will find nature walks, community walks, bird watching for the birders, and lots of other activities.

Best Time To Visit – Uganda

The best time to visit Uganda is from June to August and December to February, which are the Dry seasons. Wildlife viewing is at its peak then. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Uganda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and you can’t avoid rain completely. However, after heavy rain, the skies often open up to bright sunshine.

Is it safe to travel to Uganda?

Uganda is a safe country to visit, especially when your part of an organized game drive with private guides, as you will be with us. These tours are designed to enhance your safety and provide you with a well-guided experience. There are, of course, some places to avoid in big cities like Kampala or Entebbe. But – as with everywhere else in the world – you’ll be fine by taking some precautions. Just some examples to be on the safe side, pun intended, don’t explore the city at night without a driver or guide, keep your valuables close to you, avoid wearing prominent and visible jewelry, and leave some things like passports in the hotel safe.

Along the way, you will then have a stopover at the equator, where you could take pictures to keep the memory, grab refreshments, and there are also craft shops that are well stocked with African items, so you can visit them if interested. When back on the road to continue your journey, you will be able to have great views of the landscape, a beautiful panorama, plus the great and hospitable Ankole people. Having dressed up accordingly for the trekking activity, early morning breakfast will include your packed lunch and water, and you will get to the park headquarters in time for the briefing before you head on for the activity. Then head into the forest to search for the mountain gorillas in the dense forested area with slippery slopes and the mist-covered vegetation. After breakfast and a briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start a 30-minute to 8-hour trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist-covered vegetation. The activity is surely strenuous, but then again, fully rewarding at the sight of the huge gorillas, you will be able to take pictures and observe their various characters as they feed, play, and relate. You’re allowed a full hour with these creatures and thereafter head back, freshen up, have dinner, and overnight.
